The Bicycle Parking Project is primarily focused on the iOS and Android mobile applications. From the apps you can find bicycle parking all over the world. Also from the apps anyone can add bicycle parking. When someone adds bicycle parking the data is sent from the mobile device and processed then saved on the main server where it can then be approved for public access so anyone can view the data on the map on their own mobile device.
The server features a suite of custom Drupal modules and a robust admin interface to manage all bicycle parking. View coordinates, image, notes... approve or deny bicycle parking. There is even an email system to approve or deny bicycle parking on the go with unique private keys for each parking spot.
The Drupal theme is a version of Bootstrap slightly customized for our specific needs.
Mobile Apps and Drupal Back-end
The Drupal back-end for the iOS and Android Bicycle Parking app. This is a side project that started as a "Hmm, I wonder if I can do this..." Years later it's still up and running and new spots are added daily. The project has drawn attention from city officials and other interested parties from around the world. It's been fun and interesting to say the least.
